After 850 submissions from around the world, a panel of industry judges decided on top designs in seven categories – in addition to a Grand Prize Voters’ Choice award
Westford, MA, June 26, 2023 – Cyncly is pleased to announce the winners of its Global Inspiration Contest. This year’s competitors, representing 20 different countries, submitted 850 creative and innovative renderings that combined unquestionable technical ability with marvelous imagination. A panel of industry experts selected seven winning designs, and awarded a Grand Prize from a shortlist decided by public vote.
“It’s such a thrill to see how talented designers can transform an idea into a dream space,” says Christian Weichelt, Chief Marketing Officer at Cyncly. “We opened this contest up to designers from around the world, and they responded to make this a truly global competition. We’re incredibly proud to not only reward the high level of design skills on display, but also see firsthand how Cyncly’s design software is being used so masterfully by so many talented designers worldwide.”
The winners in all seven categories are:
- Cyncly Any Space (Residential): Alex Légaré Grondin, DKOR.A
- Cyncly Any Space (Office): Jenna Kurtz, Ethosource
- Kitchen: Vinicius Goes, VGOES Design
- Bathroom: Hugo Castro, Wilson Bathroom Company
- Closet and Organization: Sally Holt, Acaelia Home Design
- Educational and Classroom: Marianne Box, Hertz Furniture
- Flexible Office Space: Angela deBoer, ROS Office Furniture
In addition to the seven categories listed above, the Grand Prize winner of the Voters’ Choice Award was selected by a combination of public votes and a special jury. Guest judges and a Cyncly panel determined the winner from the top three designs as voted on by fellow designers. This Grand Prize is awarded to Manish Harni of Moiety Kitchens, for his breathtaking multi-level residential rendering featuring natural wood and exposed brick.
Across all categories, the judges saw a resurgence of wood textures emerge as one of the most notable trends in this year’s entries. This is the result of clients gaining a new appreciation for the balance that wood can provide to a space, especially on ceilings.
The seven category winners receive a $750 Amazon gift card (in their local currency) with second place receiving a $500 Amazon gift card. The Grand Prize winner receives a $1500 Amazon gift card. All winning designs can be found at contest.cyncly.com/gallery-2023.
The panel of industry judges included:
- Colin O’Neill, Design PUGS
- Alexandra Tseffos, DesignPOP
- Emma Hedges, KBB Focus
- Julien Sol, Kitchen Win
- Elke Oechsner, SanitärJournal – TGA Contentbase
- Laura Peidró, IM Cocinas & Baños
